Artist's Statement

In this series of paintings, I adopt the cartographic language to travel deep into the subjective world, representing internal and imaginative voyages where fantastic beings and places materialize.

The coarse brush stroke – teeming with paint - reinforces the thought of earth and matter. The fantastic beings and cardinal points are represented by very fine lines that almost blend into the texture. A yearning for the South is present throughout the entire work.
