Genetic codes and a nocturnal atmosphere–with multiple dark forms reminiscent of black moons–are fused in my recent works on paper. I let my imagination run wild, stimulated by my professional career in Biology.
My connections to molecular sciences are used to express and create these compositions on paper. I have a special interest in the stimuli that the work produces in the spectator. I am also interested in the effects of claroscuro, and of order and chaos. My concern lies in a simplified proposal acquired after several years or working, in which I reached a peak in the use of color and geometric forms.
In my present work, I do not necessarily want to move away from geometric sources. My idea is to juxtapose them in multiple layers of predefined elements, such as by using the shapes of industrial dies and other such forms.
