Much of my work is autobiographical allowing me an outlet to express my emotions and inner dialogue.
— Ross Bonfant

In this HeavyHeads series Bonfanti manipulates and assembles toys and children’s objects which he combines with other found objects and concrete molds to create on-of-a-kind sculptures.  His sculptures are at the same time awkward and beautiful, thought-provoking and whimsical, disturbing and compelling. Their appeal lie in the harshness of the materials used and the humorous and unexpected manner in which they are constructed.

His innovative conceptual sculptures are collected by art lovers in Asia, Europe, Australia, the USA and Canada having been in over 50 art fairs since 2003.  A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, his work can be found in museum collections in the USA and the Canada Council for the Arts’ ArtBank.
